Grease Outlet successfully kept 10 million pounds of food waste out of the City of Raleigh’s municipal wastewater system last year. The company processes “brown grease” collected from grease traps at North Carolina restaurants and commercial kitchens.
“Restaurants and commercial kitchens collect a significant amount of grease that needs processing,” said General Manager Joe VanSchaick. “Grease Outlet has built a strong customer base in Raleigh and processed more than 5,000 tons of food waste last year. We’re incredibly proud that we’ve been able to process these liquid and solid materials in an environmentally responsible way.”
